In 2010 I wasn’t going to bother with a display at all. Sometime in December I put up a few LED strings and my candy canes, and called it done.
Inside the lower bucket is a 4 way power board, a 24Vac 2A power supply and 2x 5V plug packs.
What a professional way to house my power supplies!
The candy canes are the Kmart ones from the battery operated 4 pack.
They were zip tied to the mesh which is then zip tied to the security screen to make it easy to put up and take down.
I spliced two sets together and added a longer cable to run from a 6Vdc plug pack.
They looked quite reasonable lit up at night.
