Introduction

The APC707 distributes DMX signals and power to 8 outlets.

DC Input

Two separate DC inputs are provided. Each will accept a voltage in the 12V to 36V range. The on-board electronics is powered by the higher of the two input voltages.

DMX Inputs

There are four RJ45 connectors for DMX input. The RJ45 pinout is per the ESTA standard. All inputs are terminated.

Jumpers

Each DMX input has an associated jumper next to the RS485 chip. These allow each pair of outputs to be fed from the associated input or from a previous input. The silkscreen on the PCB shows how to configure them.

Ext In

This is a 5V logic level input so the DMX data can be fed from another board.

Loop Out

This is a 5V logic level output so the DMX data can be fed to another board.

P-DMX Outputs

There are eight RJ45 connectors for P-DMX output. The RJ45 pinout is per the ESTA standard with the addition of pins 4+5 being used for power.

Fuses

Each P-DMX output has it's own 2A mini blade fuse.

LEDs

There are 13 small red LEDs on the PCB.

  • Power available LED per output
  • Data activity LED for each DMX input
  • 5V power LED
