Since the monster crate turned out well, I thought I’d try the same car door lock actuator on a wheely bin lid.
A scrap piece of timber is fastened to the side of the bin.
The actuator is attached to the timber using the slotted metal plate it comes with.
With the plate screws slightly loose, I slid the actuator up slightly too high.
Then I closed the lid to push it down to the correct height.
Don’t forget to tighten the plate screws after that is done.
The effect is ok, but I think I will need an actuator either side to make the lid popping even.
